Asia Insurance approves 10% cash dividend for 2024
Asia Insurance PLC has approved a 10% cash dividend for the year ended 31 December 2024 at its 25th Annual General Meeting (AGM), held virtually through a digital platform.
The meeting was chaired by the company's Chairman, Mohammad Mustafa Haider, and attended by a large number of shareholders. Managing Director and CEO Md Imam Shaheen also addressed the meeting.
In 2024, the company earned a gross premium of Tk 81.33 crore, with a profit before tax of Tk 15.43 crore. At the end of the year, total assets stood at Tk 233.66 crore. Shareholders expressed satisfaction with the company's performance despite market challenges.

Asia Insurance PLC received an AAA rating from National Credit Ratings Ltd (NCR) for its financial performance in 2024. The Chairman expressed satisfaction that, despite challenges, the company was able to declare and distribute a 10% cash dividend.
The AGM also re-elected Group-A directors Abul Bashar Chowdhury, Farzana Afroze, and Dr Munal Mahabub, along with Group-B director Rasedul Islam, FCA, nominated by Southeast Bank PLC, with approval from shareholders.
