Ami Probashi partners with Guardian Life for NRB Insurance

Ami Probashi, a concern of Bangla Trac Group, has announced a landmark partnership with Guardian Life Insurance Limited to enhance the lives of expatriates and Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) by launching "Guardian Probashi Prohori."

This innovative insurance product is designed to provide more significant support and security to Bangladeshi migrants and their families.

The partnership agreement was signed on Monday, January 6, 2025, by M Tanvir Siddique, Group Head of Innovation, Bangla Trac Group, representing Ami Probashi, and Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, CEO of Guardian Life.

This tailored insurance product offers a range of essential benefits, ensuring peace of mind for expatriates and their loved ones. Key features include overseas hospitalisation coverage, death coverage, permanent disability (total and partial), free telemedicine service, loss of income coverage, repatriation, and funeral benefits. These features are designed to address the unique challenges Bangladeshi migrants face, providing them with holistic protection and financial security as they work abroad.

"This partnership represents our shared commitment to empowering expatriates and NRBs," said M Tanvir Siddique. "We are dedicated to creating impactful solutions that safeguard their futures while enabling them to focus on their goals."

Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, CEO of Guardian Life, emphasised the importance of this collaboration, "Our mission has always been to make insurance accessible and meaningful. Through this partnership, we aim to address the unique challenges faced by our expatriates and NRBs, ensuring they feel protected and valued, no matter where they are in the world."

Shajedul Hoque, Chief Technology Officer; Ahsanul Haque, Head of Business Operations; Shyam Ahmed, Assistant Manager, Business Development; and Md. Saif-Ul-Alam, Communication Lead. From Guardian Life, Sheikh Rakibul Karim, FCA, CEO; Abdul Halim, SVP and Head of Microinsurance; Md. Jalal Uddin, Manager, Micro-Insurance Department; Nowshin Nahar Haque, AVP, Micro-Insurance Department; and Sharmin Akter Shawon, Business Relationship Manager, Micro-Insurance Department were present.
