AIUB holds Freshers’ Reception for Summer 2024–25 semester
The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) welcomed newly admitted students for the Summer 2024–25 semester with a vibrant Freshers' Reception held on Saturday, 12 July 2025, at its campus in Dhaka.
Organised by the Office of Student Affairs, the day-long event featured separate orientation sessions for freshers from each of the university's five faculties. The sessions were designed to introduce students to academic programmes, university regulations, support services, and campus life.
Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing the students and their parents, she said: "This new chapter in your academic journey demands both intelligence and discipline. Make the most of it to shape a successful future."

Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Saiful Islam encouraged the newcomers to fully utilise the opportunities provided by AIUB, including its modern facilities and diverse learning environment. He noted that the university remains committed to academic excellence and holistic development.
Also speaking at the reception were the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Proctor, Deans, and Department Heads, who shared valuable guidance to help students adapt and thrive in their university life.
The formal proceedings were followed by a lively cultural programme presented by the AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC), adding a festive touch to the welcome event.
The Freshers' Reception was attended by a large number of faculty members, officials, students, and parents, marking a warm and informative start to the new academic term.
