AIUB 22nd convocation to be held on 22nd February

The 22nd Convocation Ceremony of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) is scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the AIUB Permanent Campus.

His Excellency Mr Mohammed Shahabuddin, Honourable President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and Chancellor of AIUB, has graciously authorised Dr Salehuddin Ahmed, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Science and Technology, to preside over the ceremony and confer degrees upon the graduating students. Prof. Dr. SMA Faiz, Honourable Chairman of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, will attend as the special guest.

The event will be further distinguished by Dr. Salimullah Khan, writer, scholar, and recipient of the Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024, who will deliver the Convocation Speech. Additionally, Ms. Nadia Anwar, Chairman and Founder Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees, and Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice-Chancellor of AIUB, will address the gathering on this momentous occasion. A total of 2,547 graduates who have completed all academic requirements for their Bachelor's and Master's degrees will receive their diplomas during the ceremony. Gold medals and other academic awards will be presented to students in recognition of their outstanding scholarly achievements, leadership excellence, and contributions to extracurricular activities.

The AIUB 22nd Convocation Ceremony will be attended by distinguished guests, including Founder Members and Members of the Board of Trustees, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, Members of the Syndicate and Academic Council, Deans of various faculties, faculty members, and other high officials of AIUB. Local and international dignitaries, ministry officials, University Grants Commission (UGC) representatives, vice-chancellors, and delegates from both public and private universities will also be present. Furthermore, students, parents, and print and electronic media members will attend the event.
