AIM iftar 2026 celebrates community support for underserved children
In the spirit of Ramadan, Aim Initiative Foundation hosted "Aim Iftar 2026", bringing together students, sponsor parents, supporters, partners, volunteers and well-wishers to share iftar and celebrate Eid with the children of Aim Initiative Foundation School.
This year's event welcomed 210 students of the school in Meradiya, Dhaka, where the organisation provides free primary and secondary education. For many of these children, Eid often passes quietly because of financial hardship. Through Aim Iftar, the foundation seeks to ensure that the festival is marked with joy, dignity and a sense of belonging.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the distribution of Eid dresses to all 210 students. The initiative was made possible through contributions from individual supporters, sponsor parents under the Sponsor a Child Programme, corporate sponsors and well-wishers from home and abroad. Their collective support helped ensure that every child could welcome Eid with confidence and excitement.
Aim Initiative Foundation also acknowledged the commitment of several partners that supported the event. The organisation expressed special appreciation to its strategic programme partner, Viqis in Australia, for helping strengthen the impact of the initiative.
The celebration also received support from gifting partner MINISO, which provided gift boxes containing stationery items for the children. A particularly joyful moment of the evening came when the MINISO mascot appeared among the students, drawing laughter and excitement and reflecting the spirit of the event.
Community Impact Partners Shajgoj, Pigeon, BYLC Graduate Network, Wander Woman and Agent Next Door also contributed to making the evening meaningful for the students.
Partex Beverage Ltd provided RC Cola and bottled water, PRAN Dairy supplied PRAN UHT milk, and Polar Ice Cream delighted the children with a dedicated ice cream station.
Through Aim Iftar, Aim Initiative Foundation said it continues to demonstrate how small acts of generosity can create meaningful moments of joy and dignity in the lives of children. Looking ahead, the organisation said it remains committed to expanding its education and community initiatives for underprivileged children and families.
