Addis Ababa to host first Africa–Bangladesh Trade Show 2025

In a landmark step to deepen trade and investment ties between Bangladesh and Africa, the inaugural Africa Bangladesh Trade Show and Business Summit 2025 will be held at the De Leopol Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Jointly organised by the Africa Bangladesh Business Forum (ABBF) and the Embassy of Bangladesh in Ethiopia, the two-day event aims to forge stronger links between policymakers, entrepreneurs, and investors from both regions, unlocking new commercial and investment opportunities.
Expanding trade and investment frontiers
The summit will serve as a high-level platform for Bangladeshi exporters and investors to engage with African businesses, focusing on sectors with strong export potential such as ready-made garments, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, information technology, light engineering, and leather goods.
Launch of Kingmansa.com
A major highlight will be the official launch of Kingmansa.com – the first B2B digital marketplace connecting Bangladeshi exporters with buyers across all 54 African countries. Developed by Kingmansa Solutions Inc. (Canada), the platform aims to simplify cross-border trade through integrated digital payments, logistics, and compliance tools, making trade between the two regions swifter and more transparent.
Organisers said the launch marks a significant step towards digital trade integration, complementing ABBF's mission to create sustainable business bridges between Bangladesh and Africa.
Key features and benefits
The summit will include a business exhibition, investment forums, bilateral trade sessions, and the signing of export agreements. Participants will benefit from visa facilitation, protocol support, and structured networking opportunities designed to help them explore African markets and build long-term partnerships.
Industry observers have hailed the event as a strategic move to diversify Bangladesh's export destinations, promote job creation, and boost foreign exchange earnings. In return, African nations stand to gain access to high-quality, competitively priced Bangladeshi products across key sectors.

A representative of the Embassy of Bangladesh in Ethiopia added:
