ADB Country Director meets ICC Bangladesh President to strengthen cooperation

Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Hoe Yun Jeong visited ICC Bangladesh and held a meeting with President Mahbubur Rahman and ICCB Executive Board Members to discuss about strengthening collaboration between the two organisations.
Welcoming ADB Country Director, ICC Bangladesh President Mahbubur Rahman acknowledged ADB's longstanding support for ICC Bangladesh, noting that their partnership dates back to 2000, when then-ADB President Tadao Chino attended the ICC Asia Conference on Investment in Developing Countries held in Dhaka. He highlighted ADB's continued engagement through its Trade and Supply Chain Finance Programme (TSCFP), which has facilitated workshops and conferences in collaboration with ICC Bangladesh since 2015.
Mahbubur Rahman expressed appreciation for ADB's role in supporting Bangladesh's economic development, particularly in trade and investment, and emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in fostering sustainable growth.
ADB Country Director Hoe Yun Jeong reiterated ADB's commitment to supporting Bangladesh's development journey and stated that the bank would continue collaborating with ICC Bangladesh in areas such as trade digitalisation, financial accessibility, and sustainable business practices.
The meeting was attended by ICC Bangladesh Vice Presidents A.K. Azad and Naser Ezaz Bijoy; Executive Board Members Abdul Hai Sarker, Anwar-ul-Alam Chowdhury (Parvez), Md. Fazlul Hoque, Mir Nasir Hossain, Nasir Uddin Ahmed (Pavel), Mohammad Hatem, and Simeen Rahman; DBL Group Managing Director Mohammed Abdul Jabbar; ICCB Secretary General Ataur Rahman; ADB Senior Investment Officer Bidyut Kumar Saha; and ICCB General Manager Ajay B. Saha.
