AB Bank concludes entrepreneur development programme in Cox’s Bazar

AB Bank PLC recently concluded a month-long Entrepreneur Development Programme in Cox's Bazar under the SICIP project of Bangladesh Bank's SME & Special Programs Department. The initiative aimed to build entrepreneurial capacity and improve access to finance among small and medium enterprises in the region.
At the closing ceremony, certificates were awarded to 25 trained entrepreneurs, while eligible participants received loans under the open credit disbursement programme.
The event was graced by Ms Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, as the chief guest. Mr Md Nazrul Islam, Additional Director and Programme Director of the SME & Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank, was present as the special guest. Mr Z. M. Babar Khan, Additional Managing Director of AB Bank PLC, chaired the event.
Also in attendance were Mr Iftekhar Enam Awal, Head of SME Banking, AB Bank; Mr Mohammad Wasim, Joint Director, Bangladesh Bank; Mr Md Fazlul Haque, Programme Coordinator; senior officials from AB Bank; and the 25 newly trained entrepreneurs from the Cox's Bazar region.
The programme reflects AB Bank's commitment to supporting SME development and fostering financial inclusion across the country.
