The additional secretary of the Planning Commission has said the workshop was arranged to improve supply chain skills in the private sector

The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), in partnership with the National Resilience Programme of the Planning Commission and the United Nations Development Program, organised a four-day workshop on supply chain resilience.
Officials of 26 corporate organisations participated in the workshop and received certificates at the end of it on Monday, said a press statement.
Khandker Ahsan Hossain, additional secretary of the Planning Commission, attended the closing event as its chief guest, while Mahbubul Alam, president of CCCI was in the chair.
The programme was held at the Agrabad World Trade Centre in the port city.
"Training is a strong medium to get skilled manpower. We will achieve our goal of enhancing supply chain skills in the private sector through trainings," said Khandker Ahsan Hossain.
Addressing the event, CCCI president Mahbubul Alam said, "Bangladesh is a disaster-prone country. If a natural disaster hits, it affects the supply chain. The Covid-19 pandemic has also hit the supply chain in our country. Considering all these issues, we organised this training programme."
