Prices of cosmetic goods, including lipstick, is set to increase in the upcoming fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26).
In the proposed budget, presented by Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed today (2 June), the minimum tariff rate for lipstick import has been increased to $40 per kilogramme, which was previously $20.
Besides, a $20 minimum tariff rate has been introduced for lip liner, lip gloss, lip gel and like products.
For eye make-up preparation (eye shadow, eye liner, eyebrow pencil, mascara & like products), the minimum tariff is set to increase to $10 from the existing $7.
For manicure or pedicure preparations and powders, the minimum tariff has been proposed to be increased to $10 from the existing $5.
