BEPZA seeks more Japanese investment in economic zones
BEPZA’s chairman stated this during a meeting with JETRO’s country representative in his office

The Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) has sought the cooperation of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) to attract more Japanese investment in export processing zones (EPZs) and the BEPZA Economic Zone, Mirsharai.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Md Nazrul Islam addressed this issue during a courtesy call on JETRO Country Representative Yuji Ando at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Monday, a press release of BEPZA read.
At the meeting, they discussed various issues related to Japanese investment in the EPZs.
During the time, the BEPZA chief also urged Japanese enterprises to invest in the BEPZA Economic Zone.
He also assured them of all support for the smooth operation of Japanese enterprises in EPZs and wished to work jointly, with full effort, if any problem were to arise.
The JETRO country representative, along with renowned Japanese investors of EPZs, congratulated BEPZA's chief as a new executive chairman of BEPZA.
Among others, General Manager (IP) of BEPZA Md Tanvir Hossain, Managing Director (MD) of Saito Nensi Bangladesh Ltd Hiromi Yasui, MD of TS Tech Bangladesh Ltd Wataru Masuda, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cat Garments Co Ltd Hiroshi Kuwae, and MD of Maruhisa Pacific Co Ltd Sagawa Koji were present at the meeting.
