Palm oil price cut by Tk19 per litre
The retail price of palm oil will drop from Tk169 to Tk150 per liter

Price of palm oil has been reduced by Tk19 per litre.
The price was reduced due to falling raw material costs in the global market, Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman said today (12 August) at a press conference organised by the Ministry of Commerce at the Secretariat. Commerce Adviser Sheikh
Bashir Uddin, senior ministry officials, and leaders from various business sectors were also present.
The retail price of palm oil will drop from Tk169 to Tk150 per liter.
However, soybean oil prices remain unchanged as global prices for soybean and its raw materials have not fallen, he added.
Palm oil accounts for about 60% of the country's edible oil consumption.
