Touhidul Alam Khan joins NRBC Bank as managing director and CEO

Md Touhidul Alam Khan has been appointed as the new managing director and chief executive Officer of NRBC Bank PLC, effective from 5 May 2025, the bank said in a press release.

He has over 32 years of banking experience and previously served as Managing Director and CEO of National Bank bringing a wealth of executive leadership experience, industry expertise, and proven strategic capabilities to his new role.

Khan began his banking career in 1993 as a senior officer at Agrani Bank. Over the years, he held various senior leadership roles at Prime Bank and Bank Asia, including chief business officer, chief risk officer, and chief anti-money laundering compliance officer. He played a key role in promoting syndicated financing in Bangladesh, contributing significantly to the development of the country's banking sector.

He holds a master's degree in finance from the University of Dhaka and is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). Notably, he is Bangladesh's first Certified Sustainability Reporting Assurer (CSRA) and earned a PhD for his research on credit and sustainability risk assessment in the banking sector under Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) frameworks.

In recognition of his academic and professional achievements, Khan has received numerous national and international awards for his contributions to banking, finance, and sustainable development.
