Fazle Quayum appointed as DMD of Jamuna Bank

Jamuna Bank Limited has appointed Fazle Quayum as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank on Thursday.
The news of his appointment was confirmed via a press release issued by Jamuna Bank on Saturday.
Prior to this, Quayum was serving as Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Credit Risk Management of the Bank.
Mr Quayum has around 36 years of experience where he held Senior Management positions both in banks and a financial institution, focusing on Credit Risk Management and Corporate Banking, the release said.
Mr Quayum started his banking career in September 1982 as Probationary Officer with AB Bank Ltd (then Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd), the first private sector joint venture bank of Bangladesh. In 2011 he joined IPDC Finance Ltd (then Industrial Promotion and Development Company Ltd) as a member of the Senior Management of the FI.
In 2016 he moved on to his present institution Jamuna Bank Ltd where he was entrusted with charge of Credit Risk Management and Corporate Divisions on different occasions.
Mr Fazle Quayum obtained his MBA degree from Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University in 1980, and subsequently from State University of New York (SUNY), Binghamton in 1982, majoring in Finance. He is also a Diplomaed Associate of Institute of Bankers Bangladesh (DAIBB).
