A passenger was detained after attempting to board a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight to Cox's Bazar with fake documents through the domestic terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The individual, identified as Aman from Nabinagar in Brahmanbaria, tried to board Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG 437, which was scheduled to depart Dhaka for Cox's Bazar at 4:30pm.

"The person came with fake tickets, boarding passes, and other documents. However, we have multiple layers of security, and he was eventually caught. We will carry out a thorough investigation into the incident," Group Captain Ragib Samad, executive director of the airport, told The Business Standard.

According to airport officials, Aman managed to enter the terminal and clear the second security checkpoint without a boarding pass. However, he was caught during the final check before boarding when he failed to produce a valid boarding card.

Airport security personnel have taken the individual into custody for further questioning.
