Biman Bangladesh Airlines is now operating six flights every week on Dhaka-Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route and seven on Dhaka-Dubai-Dhaka route.

Due to the Covid-19 situation, there is an obligation to follow health guidelines while operating the flights of Biman.

Also, the UAE authorities have instructed not to carry more than 240 passengers on any flight bound for Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

So, Biman's 419-seater Boeing 777 and 271-seater Boeing 787-8 cannot use their full capacity now.

And as the Abu Dhabi authorities have not yet given the September 2020 schedule for operating flights there, Biman's Dhaka-Abu Dhabi-Dhaka route's September tickets are not being sold now.

The process of schedule approval is underway, reads a press release issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism on Sunday.

"For these reasons, there is a shortage of tickets for Dhaka-Dubai and Dhaka-Abu Dhabi routes now," it added.

So, Biman has decided that all the passengers on Dhaka-Dubai and Dhaka-Abu Dhabi routes who could not board their flights after booking return tickets, due to Covid-19, will get tickets first.

No passengers will have to pay an extra fee to reissue a return ticket. Biman will start selling new tickets after reissuing the return tickets.

Also, it will sell tickets for September as soon as the September 2020 schedule for the Abu Dhabi route is approved by the authority.

Biman is now running two flights on Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur-Dhaka route, Dhaka-Guangzhou-Dhaka route, Dhaka-Hong Kong-Dhaka route, and one on Dhaka-London-Dhaka route every week, too.
