Various crops including Aman paddy of 35,529 hectares of land were damaged at different areas in Bagerhat district due to Cyclone Bubul, as per government calculations.

Moreover, around 7,234 fish enclosures of different upazilas of the district were flooded during the cyclone.

Around 8,788 houses were fully damaged while 35,775 were partly smashed due to the heavy blow of Bulbul.

Many roads and low-lying lands of the district were flooded and thousands of trees were also uprooted.

At least five people were killed and many injured as cyclone Bulbul lashed the coastal districts of Bangladesh since early Sunday. Two more died at shelter centres in Patuakhali and Barguna.
