People can now get information on the availability of beds dedicated to treating coronavirus patients in a hospital over the phone.

The Directorate General of Health Service has provided four numbers for this purpose.

People can find out how many coronavirus patients have been admitted in a hospital, how many beds are empty, or if there are any vacant beds in the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital by dialling the numbers.

DGHS Additional General Director Professor Nasima Sultana made the announcement during the regular online briefing on Thursday.

The numbers are: 01313-791130, 01313-791139, 01313-791139, 01313-791140

The initiative would reduce the hassle of Covid-19 patients in getting treatment.
