The coronavirus-positive physician does not have any clue how she got infected

Doctor tests positive for Covid-19 in Barishal

A doctor of Agailjhara Upazila Health Complex tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday.

District Civil Surgeon Dr Monoar Hossain confirmed this to The Business Standard.

The woman doctor has been suffering from fever, cough and cold for several days. On Sunday, upazila health complex collected her samples and sent those to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College for a test. There, her Covid-19 test came positive.

To be confirmed, her samples were sent to the Institute of Epidemiology Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Dhaka on Monday for test for the second time.

The family members of the doctor have been asked to stay under home quarantine for the next 14 days.

Agaildhara Upazila Health Complex official Bakhtiar Al Mamun said the doctor did not go out of Barishal district in the past two months. 

The coronavirus-positive physician does not have any clue how she got infected.
