Another patient in Narayanganj has died of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 57 in the district.

Additionally, 47 new cases have been identified, raising the total number of Covid-19 infections to 1,375.

Meanwhile, a total of 160 patients have returned home after recovering from the virus, including 27 in the last 24 hours, according to the data on the district's civil surgeon office website on Tuesday.

Among infected patients: 707 are from the city corporation, 480 are from Sadar upazila, 29 from Bandor upazila, 38 from Araihazar, 60 are from Sonargaon, and 61 from Rupganj.

Among the deceased: 40 are from the city corporation, 13 from Sadar, one from Bandor, one from Rupganj, and two from Sonargaon.

Around 109 patients from the city corporation, 33 from Sadar upazila, four from Bandor upazila, two from Rupganj, two from Sonargaon, and 10 from Araihazar have returned home after recovering.

In the last 24 hours, 399 samples have been collected for testing. So far, 5,031 samples have been collected in the district.
