Coronavirus patients have been found in four new districts of the country in the last 24 hours.

The districts are Lalmonirhat, Thakurgaon, Lakshmipur and Jhalakathi.

Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Professor Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora revealed the information at a press briefing on Sunday.

She said, "After analysing data from the four districts, we noticed that those who were infected in these areas returned from Dhaka or Narayanganj to their respective districts last week."

"That is why we repeatedly warned everyone not to travel at this moment. Stay at home and follow the directives of the health department during the quarantine," Sabrina added.

According to the data provided by the IEDCR, coronavirus patients have been found in 27 more districts besides Dhaka till April 11.

Currently, coronavirus has spread to 31 districts of the country.
