 Another 3, including policeman, test positive for Covid-19 in Bandarban

Three more people, including a sub-inspector of police at the Thanchi Police Station, tested positive for coronavirus in Bandarban on Tuesday. 

Dr Aung Swe Prue Marma, civil surgeon of Bandarban, said one of the patients was admitted to Bandarban Sadar Hospital with coronavirus symptoms on April 16, and his sample was taken for testing. He is now in the isolation unit of the hospital. 

The other two patients, including the sub-inspector, were suffering from Covid-19 symptoms. They tested positive on Tuesday. After getting the test results, they got admitted to the Thanchi Upazila Health Complex, said the civil surgeon.

"We are preparing a list of doctors, nurses and other patients who came in contact with the patient at Sadar Hospital, so that they are put in quarantine," he said.

Seven other people, including two doctors, the upazila nirbahi officer of Thanchi, and the officer-in-charge of the police station have been put on quarantine because they came in contact with the sub-inspector.
