GP launches IoT Experience Zone in Dhaka and Chattogram

Grameenphone has launched Internet of Things (IoT) Experience Zone in two Grameenphone centers of Dhaka and Chattogram.

The inauguration ceremony of the Experience Zone in Chattogram took place recently.

Through this Experience Zone, Grameenphone (GP) aims to provide customers with first-hand experience of GP IoT services.

The Experience Zone consists of GP smart solutions like Smart Home, Home Surveilence, Security Watch and eVTS. These IoT based solutions will enable people to take control of their vehicle & appliances, keep their home secured, and ultimately have greater autonomy over their lives. Such an Experience Zone is first of its kind in Bangladesh.

On this occasion, Mahmud Hossain, Chief Business Officer, Grameenphone, said, 'Grameenphone has always aimed to improve the lives of the customers with the power technology. As the global technology paradigm is changing, IoT products and services have become an essential part of this shift. Hence, it is crucial to increase awareness and adoption of these services to help our customer embrace the connected life of future.'

AJM Nasir Uddin, Mayor, Chattogram City Corporation, added, 'Bangladesh has accelerated its development by embracing technology. And with this Experience Zone, for the very first time launched in Chattogram, we will leap progress in terms of educating everyone about IoT products and services, which is aligned with the vision of Digital Bangladesh.'

The inauguration ceremony in Chattogram was attended by AJM Nasir Uddin, Mayor, Chattogram City Corporation along with officials from Grameenphone including Mahmud Hossain, Chief Business Officer; Sajjad Hasib, Head of Operation; Mohammad Shareef Muktadir Rahman, Circle Business Head Chattogram; Sayma Rahman, Head of Retail Partnership; Reduan Hasan Khan, Head of ICT Products; and Muktadir Rahman, Circle Retail Head Chattogram.  

GP has already started catering IoT products and services to B2C, B2B, and B2G, according to their requirements. Intending to make customers' life more digital, GP aims to launch additional Experience Zones in other GPCs in the future.
