Regional integrated telecommunications infrastructure services company edotco Bangladesh will receive the ISO 9001:2015 accreditation for its development, operation and, maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

The certificate is a true testament to edotco Bangladesh's continuous drive in advancing the telecommunication industry towards ensuring improved network connectivity across the nation, said a press release.

The guided ISO implementation and documentation process begin in early February this year despite the challenges around Covid-19 restrictions. The organization was ready and subsequently received certification once completing thorough audit and assessment processes by November.

Ricky Steyn, country managing director of edocto Bangladesh said, "While this accreditation by ISO is a recognition of our operational excellence, we are committed to continuously improving by tying up with local partners and implementing new services and solutions."

"As a nation-building partner, edotco Bangladesh echoes the Government's clear vision to build a Digital Bangladesh, and with rapid progression, we will continue to play a vital role in the nation's digital transformation," he said.

"Most importantly, this recognition is a clear testament of the team's commitment towards incremental improvement and sustainability which will be one of the key differentiators for us in this new competitive landscape in Bangladesh Towerco Industry," he added.

ISO 9001 is one of International Organisation of Standardisation's (ISO) best-known standards defining the criteria for meeting a number of quality management principles. 2015 is the fifth edition of ISO 9001, launched in September of the year.

edotco Bangladesh currently owns and operates over 11,000 telecom towers throughout Bangladesh and over 31,820 towers across the eight countries in which they have a presence.
