Daraz ‘11:11’ festival kicks off at Tuesday midnight

The world's biggest 24-hour online sales festival titled "Eleven Eleven (11.11) campaign" is kicking off from Tuesday midnight.

Daraz Bangladesh – a concern of Alibaba Group – is hosting the campaign for the third time since its initiation in 2009. The festival offers up to 80% discount for some of the product categories, said officials at Daraz.

According to Daraz, this international campaign is the world's biggest sales day as it is 18 times bigger than Amazon Prime day and 2.5 times bigger than Black Friday.

Syed Mostahidal Hoq, managing director of Daraz Bangladesh Ltd, said, "The 11.11 is the super sales day all over the globe. Sellers keep their best deals for this day with a less profit margin. Different banks and companies that provide mobile financial services put their highest discount offers for this day."

"Above all, Daraz provides vouchers and other lucrative offers for 11.11 to maximise the amount of discounts and offers the best price to the customers," he added.

The event's special attraction includes – 11 Taka Mystery Box, Pre-Sale Discount, 1 Taka Game, Double Taka Voucher, Brand Double Taka Voucher, DFG tournaments, exclusive launches and other lucrative offers.

Also, free delivery offers will be provided on specific brand products by the sellers.

In order to get additional discounts on the occasion, Daraz is also offering 15% discount along with cash back offers for online payment. The payment partners include BRAC Bank, City Bank, Eastern Bank Limited, Mercantile Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and bKash.

The event is co-sponsored by Apex, Dabur Honey, Dettol, Esquire Electronics, Realme, and StudioX with Brand Partners, Parachute Natural, Veet, TP-Link, Emami, Ponds, Motorola, Focallure and Transcend.

Media partners for the event are Somoy TV, Kalerkantho, BD24 Live and Radio Today.

Last year, customers had placed around 15 times more orders than the regular days, which broke all the previous records.
