During the programme, Labor and Employment Secretary KM Abdus Salam, Director General of Bangladesh Workers Welfare Foundation Mollah Jalal Uddin NDC and other officials were also present amongst others.

Since the Labour Welfare Fund was formed, BATB has been donating a portion of their profit regularly to the fund as a responsible organization. BATB has solely contributed 15% of the total accumulated Welfare Fund.

The initiative taken by the government aims to ensure the safety of workers and to establish a 'Worker Welfare Fund' for cooperation. The fund promises to help the workers and their family in case of any major disaster. This is a big relief to the workers and their work life.
