AllStar launches comic book writing competition

AllStar, an ambitious event management firm completely run by eager high schoolers, has come back again with yet another unique event.

Visual Stories— a comic book writing competition, is the first event of its kind focusing on motivating young comic book artists and giving them a chance to boost their career in this field, said a press statement on Monday.

The event has exciting and amazing prize packages and a prize pool worth Tk20,000. The Visual Stories is title sponsored by Wellmax, a renowned biscuit and snacks company and is powered by DariKoma Prokashoni, a publishing house.

Other sponsors include the Tomorrow Life and the Crest House.

Visual Stories is a comic writing competition in which participants will submit an original comic book of maximum 6 pages. The judges Syed Rashad Imam Tanmoy, Mahatab Rashid and Oishik Jawad will choose top 10 participants from these contestants.

The top 10 will receive crests, medals, and books from DariKoma Prokashoni. The top 3 will get prize money worth Tk20,000 and more importantly will get the chance to work with Darikoma Prokashoni in the future to create more works.

The interesting aspect of this event is that AllStar will be compiling the 100 comic books into one which will be published and distributed by DariKoma Prokashoni.

This is an amazing opportunity for artists and storyteller to work as a team and showcase their talents, while also getting the opportunity to put their works out into the world.

AllStar creates a platform for many creative souls, giving them the chance to establish themselves in the world as creative professionals.

In the past they have organised exhibitions, tournaments, and many other creative and unique events.

The team of AllStar is comprised of young students working tirelessly to bring mind-blowing events for their peers.
