Zonayed Saki’s annual income stands at Tk7.73 lakh

Ganosamhati Andolon Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki's annual income stands at Tk7,72,936, as per his affidavit published on the Election Commission's website ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.

Of the amount, Tk1,20,141 comes from business, Tk2,795 from savings certificates and Tk6,50,000 from his profession.

Saki's wife Taslima Akhter, who is also a leader of the party,  has a higher annual income and greater total assets.

Her annual income totals Tk23,09,211. Her income sources include Tk4,80,400 from rent of immovable property, Tk3,10,369 from savings certificates, Tk6,90,000 from her profession, and Tk8,28,000 from house and shop rentals.

Saki is contesting the Brahmanbaria-6 (Bancharampur) constituency in the upcoming election as a BNP alliance-backed candidate as part of the simultaneous movement. His educational qualification is listed as a Bachelor of Arts.

In the affidavit, Saki mentioned his profession as a publisher. Taslima Akhter is professionally engaged as a photographer and teacher.

In terms of immovable assets, Saki owns 11 acres of non-agricultural land. He has also paid Tk3,20,000 as an advance for a flat. His wife, on the other hand, owns 18.18 decimals of agricultural land, a flat and a shop.

According to income tax returns for the 2025-26 fiscal year, Saki's total assets amount to Tk46,62,602, while his wife's total assets stand at Tk1,22,93,304.

The affidavit further states that Zonayed Saki currently has no criminal cases filed against him.
