There is no conflict between the Bangladesh Army and the pro-uprising people, National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam has said.

"We have no conflict with the Army. A vested quarter is trying to create a conflict between us and the Army by spreading propaganda," he said at an iftar and doa mahfil programme in Rangpur yesterday (22 March), according to media reports.

The NCP leader also said, "We want to maintain our respect for the Army. We think that just as they were with the people of Bangladesh during the crucial period of the uprising, they will be with the people of Bangladesh in the future."
