A Dhaka court today (23 April) imposed a travel ban on former deputy minister of youth and sports Arif Khan Joy, his wife Sonia Arif Soma, their children Zinedin Yajid Zidan and Umme Sawda Khan over graft allegations.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The anti-graft body, in its plea, said it is probing allegations against Joy for amassing illegal wealth and learned that the accused along with his wife and children may try to flee the country to evade justice.
