US-Bangla Airlines starts direct flights on Dhaka-Male route
US-Bangla Airlines launched direct flights from Dhaka to Male, the capital of Maldives, starting Friday.
US-Bangla officially inaugurated its flights on the Dhaka-Male route with a 164-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, reads a press release.
Initially, three flights will take off for Male every Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday at 11:10am, 10:45am, and 9.30am, respectively.

A one-way flight costs Tk29,508 and a roundtrip flight is Tk45,545, including all taxes and surcharges.
State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, Md Mahbub Ali, was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
US-Bangla Airlines Managing Director, Mohammed Abdullah Al Mamun, presided over the inaugural ceremony.
High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to Bangladesh HE Shiruzimath Sameer, and Civil Aviation Authority-Member (Operations and Planning) Air Cdre Sadikur Rahman Chowdhury attended the event as special guests.
With the inclusion of Male as its 10th international route, the progress of US-Bangla Airlines will be further strengthened, hopes US-Bangla.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, officials of different airlines, including US-Bangla, and representatives of various media outlets, also attended the event.
