Uber resumes car service
In the wake of the sufferings of commuters, the government on Tuesday decided to allow public transport services to resume operations in city corporation areas from Wednesday during the lockdown

The renowned ride sharing service Uber has resumed its car service from today.
"In accordance with directives from the Government of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA), we have resumed car services, such as UberX, Premier and Rental," said a spokesperson of Uber.
"We believe this will facilitate access to safer and reliable mobility options for riders in these challenging times," he added.
Bangladesh enforced a seven-day lockdown on Monday in the face of spiking Covid-19 infection in the country. In the 18-point lockdown guidelines, the government said markets, shopping malls and public transportation will remain closed during the week-long lockdown.
