Homebound rush to the south continues via Dhaka-Mawa Expressway
Due to the increased number of vehicles, slight delays have been observed at the toll plaza of the Padma Bridge

Travellers from 21 districts of southern Bangladesh continue to head home today (6 June) via the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, the key gateway to the south. Thanks to the Padma Bridge, this year's Eid journey along this route remains smooth and hassle-free.
Since early morning, vehicle pressure on the Munshiganj end of the expressway has remained significantly higher than usual.

Due to the increased number of vehicles, slight delays have been observed at the toll plaza of the Padma Bridge, particularly on the Mawa side. However, despite the short wait to pay tolls, vehicles have been crossing the bridge without major interruptions.
Alongside long-haul buses, there has been a notable presence of private vehicles. Travellers on motorcycles, private cars, and microbuses have been making their way to their hometowns in the southern region.
