Tourist’s hanging body recovered at Bandarban resort
Though it was initially believed to be a case of suicide, the matter is being investigated, says Lama OC

Police have recovered the hanging body of a tourist at a tourist resort in Lama upazila of Bandarban.
The deceased is Anwar Hossain, 47, from Suvadda-Kaliganj Paschim Para area of Keraniganj upazila in Dhaka.
A team from Lama police station recovered Anwar's hanging body at a cottage of "Danger Hill Resort" at Mirinja Valley around 12pm today, confirmed the police station's OC Tofazzal Hossain.
Saddam Hossain, owner of Danger Hill Resort, said Anwar Hossain had been staying there for the past two days. This morning, resort staff saw him hanging in the room.
On information, a team from Lama police station went to the scene and recovered Anwar's body hanging from a railing in the room.
Though it was initially believed to be a case of suicide, the matter is being investigated, said OC Tofazzal.
Anwar's body has been sent to Bandarban sadar hospital for an autopsy, the OC added.
