Tk232cr-budget approved for Parliament Secretariat for FY26
The budget was approved at the 36th meeting of the commission held at the National Parliament Complex with Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul in the chair.
The Parliament Secretariat Commission today (27 May) approved a Tk232 crore budget for the operation and development activities of Bangladesh Parliament for FY2025-26.
The budget was approved at the 36th meeting of the commission held at the National Parliament Complex with Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul in the chair.
The revised budget for the current 2024-25 fiscal year stood at Tk154.04 crore.

The meeting also projected an estimated budget of Tk243.60 crore for the 2026-27 fiscal year, and Tk255.78 crore for the 2027-28 fiscal.
At the outset of the meeting, the Commission was informed about the decisions of its 35th meeting, while the implementation progress of the decisions was reviewed.
The meeting also discussed the progress of ongoing development projects under the Parliament Secretariat, said a press release
Public Administration Senior Secretary Md Mokhles ur Rahman, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary Hafiz Ahmed and Finance Secretary Md Khairuzzaman Mozumder were present at the meeting.
Parliament Secretariat Secretary Md Mizanur Rahman placed the agenda before the meeting.
