Train services in Brahmanbaria resume after 5-hour disruption following derailment
Assistant Station Master of Brahmanbaria Railway Station, Ashok Chandra Das, said rescue operations began after a relief train arrived from Akhaura.

Rail communication between Dhaka and Chattogram, as well as Sylhet, resumed this evening (4 September) after being suspended for five hours following the derailment of a compartment of the Titas Commuter Train at Talshahar Railway Station in Ashuganj, Brahmanbaria.
Assistant Station Master of Brahmanbaria Railway Station, Ashok Chandra Das, said rescue operations began after a relief train arrived from Akhaura.
"The derailed coach was salvaged around 5:30pm, and train operations resumed shortly afterwards," he added.
According to Ashok, the Titas Commuter train, arriving from Dhaka and heading towards Brahmanbaria, experienced the derailment when the coach right behind the engine went off the tracks at Talshahar Station.
This led to the suspension of rail communication on the down line with Chattogram and Sylhet.
