Test run of Padma Bridge rail link project begins

Test run of a "track car" has begun on the 32km new railway line from Faridpur's Bhanga to Mawa near the Padma Bridge under the Padma Bridge Rail Link Project.
The experimental train left the Bhanga station at 10:30am on Tuesday and reached the Jajira end of the Padma Bridge in 1 hour 45 minutes, reports BSS.
This is the first test run after the modern railway line was laid on the 32km route.
The train is built in a special shape known as "Gang-Car".
Project Director of Padma Bridge Rail Link Project Md Afzal Hossain, the project's Chief Coordinator Major General Zahid Hossain and other officials were present during the test run.
