Robi's profit soars 133% in Apr-Jun

Robi Axiata PLC, the country's second-largest telecom operator, reported a 133% year-on-year jump in profit for the April-June quarter of 2025, despite a slight drop in revenue.
According to a price-sensitive statement published on its website today, the company's net profit surged to Tk257.4 crore in the second quarter of this year, up from Tk107.5 crore in the same period last year. Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Tk0.49.
But the company's revenue dropped by 1.92% to Tk2,554 crore in the second quarter, compared to the previous year at the same time.
At the end of the first half of this year, its net profit stood at Tk383 crore, with an EPS of Tk0.73. Its net asset value per share stood at Tk12.31 at the end of June.
Following the disclosure, Robi shares closed 2.61% higher at Tk27.50 at the Dhaka bourse today.
As of June, Robi's active mobile subscriber base declined by 21 lakh year-on-year to 5.74 crore, while its internet subscriber base stood at 4.41 crore.
