Health, education ministers to inaugurate vaccination of school students Monday
Children would be registered through the school for the time being. School authorities will upload the list to surokkha.gov.bd.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque and Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni will inaugurate the vaccination campaign for school students aged 12-17 years at Ideal School at Motijheel in the capital at 9:30am on Monday.
On Monday, the vaccines will be given at Ideal School only and from Tuesday, the vaccination campaign of the school students will continue at eight educational institutions.
The other institutions are: Hurdco Int School, South Point Int School, Chittagong Grammar School, Mirpur Commerce College, Kakoli School, South Breeze School, and Scholastica School, Mirpur.

In case of students becoming ill after receiving the vaccine, the following hospitals are designated to treat the children — Kurmitola General Hospital, Police Hospital, National Heart Foundation, Suhrawardi Medical College, and Kuwait Moitree Hospital, Uttara.
Dr Shamsul Haque, member secretary of the Covid-19 Vaccine Deployment Committee of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) informed this at a press briefing on Sunday.
He said, "Eight schools of Dhaka city have been selected for vaccinating the students. These schools will vaccinate their own students as well as students from other schools."
"Since the Pfizer vaccine is temperature-sensitive, the centre and booth have to have an air condition facility. The dilute of the vaccines have to be kept in AC rooms as well. The centres have been selected by the Department of Secondary and Higher Education considering these two issues," he added.
"We will set up 25 booths in each school. Our goal is to vaccinate at least 4,000 to 5,000 children a day. The students must bring vaccination cards and birth certificates to the booths. Registration is a must to receive the vaccine," said Shamsul Haque.
Later more centres will be added in Dhaka. Besides, preparations are being made in 22 other districts to carry out the vaccination campaign of school students.
Earlier, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Gavi, a public-private global health partnership, have nodded their consent to the initiative.
At present, the government has 60 lakh Pfizer doses in stock, all of which will be used to fully inoculate 30 lakh students, according to the minister.
