State minister assures primary teacher recruitment on track, calls for end to protest
A seven-member delegation of recommended candidates attended the meeting at the ministry
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj today (26 April) met representatives of assistant primary teacher candidates protesting at Shahbagh, urging them to withdraw their demonstrations as the recruitment process continues under existing rules.
A seven-member delegation of recommended candidates attended the meeting at the ministry in the afternoon, Public Relations Officer Mokbul Hossain confirmed. The representatives sought faster recruitment and highlighted their current concerns.
Responding, the state minister said the recruitment process is progressing normally in line with rules and regulations, assuring that each step would be completed properly before finalisation.
He urged the candidates to remain patient and exercise restraint, calling on them to trust the ongoing process, avoid causing public inconvenience, and suspend their protest before returning to their respective destinations.
The state minister also said the government is prioritising the recruitment of qualified and competent teachers to ensure quality primary education, adding that necessary measures are being implemented accordingly.
