Ship carrying 6,000 MT rice from India arrives at Ctg port

A cargo vessel arrived at Chittagong Port from India carrying 6,000 tonnes of parboiled rice today (8 March).
The ship, MV PHU THANH 36, with 6,000 tonnes of rice under the contract (Package-2) concluded through international tender, anchored at Chittagong Port, said Imdad Islam, public relations officer of the Food Ministry.
Necessary measures were taken to ensure that the unloading activities will begin later in the day after testing the samples of rice stored on the ship, he added.
