A Dhaka court today (2 October) placed former Khulna-4 lawmaker Abdus Salam Murshedy on two-day remand in a case filed over the killing of ready-made garment (RMG) worker Rubel during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Akteruzzaman passed the order as police produced Murshedy, also the former senior vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), before the court and pleaded to place him on 10-day remand.

Yesterday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained Abdus Salam Murshedy from the city's Bashundhara residential area.
