Apart from Shamim, several other passengers on the bus were injured in beating by the robbers, according to eyewitnesses. However, detailed information about them was not available.

Harun Or Rashid, a passenger on the bus, said, "After the bus crossed the Savar Radio Colony area around 6:30pm, three youths armed with sharp weapons suddenly took the passengers hostage and started robbing them. First, the robbers stabbed a passenger sitting in the front. Then, they looted all the money and belongings from all the passengers and got off the bus."
