REHAB fairs draw crowds during holidays

The REHAB Chattogram Fair 2025 has witnessed a surge in visitors over the holiday weekend of 14 and 15 February, with many securing flats and plots or exploring options for future purchases.
The four-day housing exhibition is being held at the five-star Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View Hotel and will run until 16 February.
Visitors can enter from 10am to 9pm, with single-entry tickets priced at Tk50 and multiple-entry tickets at Tk100, allowing five entries. A ticket raffle offers attractive prizes, and for the first time, a dedicated children's zone has been introduced.
Companies are offering enticing deals on flat and plot bookings to attract buyers at the fair, with medium-sized flats being the most in-demand in Chattogram, similar to Dhaka.
Wecon Properties is offering significant discounts for one-time flat purchases at the fair, along with monthly rental income starting from the following month.
Architect Mehdi Iftekhar, a director at the company, told The Business Standard, "We aim to deliver the highest quality in every aspect – design, aesthetics, materials, planning, and finishing – ensuring no flaws. Buyers making full payments will not only enjoy discounts but also earn rental income."
Jumeirah Holdings Limited is developing 15 projects at key locations in Chattogram, attracting large crowds at its fair stall.
SM Sohrab Hossain, deputy manager at the company, said, "We are receiving an overwhelming response without relying on flashy advertisements."
Meanwhile, CPDL has introduced the "Happy Community"concept, showcasing two projects – one completed and one in progress.
Mehedi Hossain, deputy manager at the company, stated that the "Happy Community" concept includes special features such as age-based amenities, multi-generational solutions, health protection, sports areas, walkways, social spaces, libraries, and dedicated facilities for the elderly, drawing strong customer interest.
Haji Delwar Hossain, vice president of the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) and chairman of the Chattogram Regional Committee, said the fair is packed, with families visiting over the holiday.
"Many are exploring stalls and making bookings, generating an encouraging response," he added.
