Red telephone at July Uprising Memorial Museum plays recorded calls of Hasina

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus yesterday afternoon (20 January) inspected the final-stage progress of the July Uprising Memorial Museum at Ganabhaban, where a red telephone on display allows visitors to listen to recorded calls of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina by pressing a button.
The chief adviser arrived at the museum, located at Ganabhaban, the official residence of the ousted prime minister, around 3pm and toured the exhibition, which document the mass uprising and the history of the Awami League's 16 years in power under Sheikh Hasina.

BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman and National Citizen Party Convener Nahid Islam were present during the visit, among others.
According to the Chief Adviser's Press Wing, the July Uprising Memorial Museum preserves a wide range of materials related to the movement, including photographs, memorabilia, martyrs' clothes, letters, important documents, newspaper clippings, and audio-visual records from the period.
In addition, the museum also preserves the scene of the escape of the then-prime minister, Sheikh Hasina.
