Prof Shohrowardhy appointed new CU proctor
Prof Shohrowardhy succeeds Professor Dr Tanvir Mohammad Hayder Arif, who will now serve as the head of the university’s research cell.
Chittagong University (CU) has appointed Professor Hossain Shaid Shohrowardhy of the Marketing Department as its new proctor.
The appointment was confirmed through a circular signed by CU acting registrar Professor Mohammad Saiful Islam today (21 September).
Speaking to The Business Standard, the acting registrar said, "Professor Shohrowardhy has been appointed as proctor for one year. He will assume office the day after tomorrow."

Prof Sarwardi succeeds Professor Tanvir Mohammad Hayder Arif, who will now serve as the head of the university's research cell.
In a separate order, CU relieved Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin, pro-vice chancellor (administration), from the post of director of the Research and Publication Office upon his request.
Prof Hayder Arif has been appointed as the new director for a two-year term, effective from 23 September.
