What BNP leaders say about Tarique's first visit to chairperson's Gulshan office

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was warmly received by senior party leaders as he paid his first visit to the BNP chairperson's political office in Gulshan today (28 December), a development that the leaders described as boosting morale and marking a significant moment for the party.
At around 1:40pm, Tarique Rahman arrived at the Gulshan office, where he was greeted by senior party leaders. After exchanging greetings, he entered the building and went to a room allocated for him on the second floor, where he held discussions with members of the BNP National Standing Committee.
Speaking to reporters afterward, Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said this was the first time the acting chairman formally opened and used the Gulshan office.
"No formal meeting was held today," he said, adding that discussions focused on election-related issues.
He further said, "We talked about cooperation with the Election Commission, party organisational matters, the state of democracy, and the future of elections in the country."
Another Standing Committee member, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, said Tarique Rahman's presence has significantly boosted the morale of party leaders and activists.

"This is a major achievement and a matter of joy for us," he said, noting that informal discussions also touched on Dhaka's environment, pollution, and traffic congestion.
Tarique was welcomed with flowers by National Standing Committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Selima Rahman, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, and BNP Chairperson's Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.
BNP Media Cell Convener Moudud Hossain Alamgir Pavel, Media Cell members Shammi Akhter, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, Abu Sayem, Tarique's Adviser Mahadi Amin, Ziauddin Haider, senior journalist Saleh Shibli, National Press Club Management Committee member Zahidul Islam Rony, as well as leaders from Bogura district, and officials and staff of the chairperson's office were also present.
