Swechchhasebak Dal Central President SM Jilani today (11 December) criticised India for providing shelter to fascist Sheikh Hasina and her cohorts on its soil.

"We are holding a long march against Indian aggression. India claims to be a democratic state, but it gave shelter to Sheikh Hasina, who along with all of her friends, fled the country in the wake of mass uprising," he said while speaking at a street rally during a long march at the Bhairab intersection in the district.

Jilani criticised various activities of India, saying that "India is not a friend of Bangladesh, as Sheikh Hasina, an enemy of Bangladesh, is currently staying there."

With BNP's Mymensingh Divisional Organising Secretary and Kishoreganj District BNP President Shariful Alam in the chair, the rally was addressed, among others, by Jubo Dal Central President Abdul Monayem Munna, General Secretary Nurul Islam Nayan, Swechchhasebak Dal General Secretary Rajib Ahsan, Chhatra Dal President Md Rakibul Islam Rakib, General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, Jubo Dal Central Organizing Secretary Md Jewel and Chhatra Dal Organizing Secretary Aman Ullah Aman.

Three associate bodies of the BNP-Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and Chhatra Dal-jointly organised the long march from Dhaka towards Agartala, India, protesting the attack on the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, India, the desecration of Bangladesh's national flag there, and conspiracies to lead Bangladeshis towards communal clash.

The street rally was held at Bhairab intersection on the way.

After a short rally in Bhairab, the long march started its journey towards Akhaura at around 2:45 pm.
