Organisers said “NCP'r Jatra” will serve as a record of the party’s early activities
National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam today (6 March) unveiled the party's first book, titled "NCP'r Jatra".
The unveiling ceremony was held at the party's temporary central office in the capital's Banglamotor.
The book has been written by NCP Joint Chief Coordinator Md Mahabub Alam and published by Mahbubur Rahman, proprietor of Adarsha Prokashoni.
Among others present at the event were NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, joint conveners Sarwar Tushar and Muzahedul Islam Shahin, and NCP Diaspora Alliance Convener Saif Ibn Sarwar, along with leaders from different levels of the party.
According to organisers, the book documents the party's political journey since its inception, including its movements, struggles and organisational activities. It also highlights public expectations and outcomes surrounding the July Uprising.
Author Mahabub said the book also includes a critical analysis of the long tenure of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina. He noted that the analysis aims to help readers better understand the complexities of Bangladesh's democratic structure, civil rights and political culture.
Organisers said "NCP'r Jatra" will serve as a record of the party's early activities, presenting a comprehensive account of its political programmes, speeches and organisational developments.
