NCP forms election management committee ahead of 2026 polls
The committee will oversee overall preparation and coordination for the polls
With an eye on the upcoming 2026 national parliamentary elections, the National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed a central election management committee.
According to a party press release issued today (4 November), signed by NCP Convenor Md Nahid Islam and Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, the committee will oversee overall preparation and coordination for the polls.
NCP's Chief Coordinator Nasir Uddin Patwary has been appointed as the head of the committee, while Senior Joint Member Secretary Dr Tasnim Jara has been named its secretary.
The committee will be responsible for comprehensive election planning, candidate selection, field-level coordination, legal and administrative activities, media and publicity, as well as training and monitoring efforts.
Other members of the committee include Ariful Islam Adib, Mahbub Alam Mahir, Khaled Saifullah, Ehtesham Haque, Advocate Abdullah Al Amin, Alauddin Mohammad, Advocate Zahirul Islam Musa, Advocate Humayra Noor, Saifullah Haidar, and Advocate Md Tariqul Islam.
